Based on demand, Steelhead has developed an extended version washer for its extremely popular Ultra 350 bottling system. The washer will now have a dedicated pre-rinse with rotating brush and higher pressure external sprays. The washing area will feature an inserting nozzle at the final position for additional cleaning. "Our customer delivers water in a very industrial environment" said Alan Pyle, president of Steelhead. "We are adding capability to meet his need."
In addition to the cleaning upgrades, the system will feature infeed and outfeed powered conveyor and a new autoload design. This allows the operators to be located remotely from the machine, another request of the customer. "This feature also allows for automation such as decapping, leak testing, and ink jet coding" said David Redick, VP of Sales.
Steelhead has been awarded the contract for two locations with this customer, and the contracts include a full water purification treatment plant, including the interconnecting piping system. The ultra full plant concept is a hallmark of Steelhead's capabilities.
