David Redick – President Steelhead Inc.
A 25-year water industry veteran, directs all Steelhead’s operations and business strategies, in addition to all marketing and sales strategies, advertising and public relations of the company.
A native Californian, David graduated from UC Berkeley in 1990 as a Mechanical Engineer, and followed with a Graduate degree in Controls Engineering. Post-graduation, David developed vast experience in complex system design and project management in the defense arena before transitioning into the bottling water industry in 1995. In his career, David excelled in engineering management, operations, General Management, sales, and marketing for many of the largest US bottled water equipment manufacturers, including Portola Packaging, CapSnap, RMI Ram Mechanical Inc), and True Integration LTD.
David’s expertise lies in building solid relationships and customer trust worldwide; has developed and delivered systems to over 90 countries. These relationships and his vast experience make him an integral part of the Steelhead Team.
Alexander Anit – Water Treatment Specialist (Sales & Engineering)
Alex brings 12+ years experience in the water filtration and purification industry.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with an internship at Clean Environment Equipment. Alex has extensive experience assisting customers develop and maintain processes. In his first years after graduating, he worked within the semi-conductor and micro-electronics manufacturing industry. He has supported both fabrication and process engineers for global companies such as Intel, Motorola, and AMD. Later, as a member of Hydranautics R&D Technical team, Alex was involved in optimizing Reverse Osmosis design projections, and forensic investigations that determine root cause of process failure. Alex also has gained valuable experience in the field, including commissioning wastewater projects such as OCWD Groundwater Replenishment Program, and piloting desalination projects for municipal potable water in Carlsbad, California. Before joining Steelhead, Alex worked as an Applications Engineer for Aqua-Chem’s Military Business Unit where he designed seawater desalination SWRO, pretreatment, and post-treatment for USCG and Navy ships, and containerized treatment systems abroad.
Paul Wedholm – Mechanical/ Design Engineer
Paul graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering. Paul has over 8 years engineering design experience in working with SolidWorks and AutoCad, generating 3-D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and plant layouts.
Paul is the lead designer at Steelhead Inc. overseeing both 5 gallon and Water Equipment design.
Paul also works with sales, manufacturing, and the engineering team to ensure design objectives are met, standard products are defined and implemented, and improve designs to produce higher quality systems, lower material costs, and lower assembly/fabrication times.
Hunter Henk – Operations Manager/ Manufacturing Engineer
A graduate from Texas State University with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Hunter studied manufacturing methods to improve and document processes within a facility, as well as, CNC programming, designing, and safety. While at Texas State University, Hunter was the Team Leader in the Senior Design Project working closely with a representative from his sponsor Caterpillar Inc.
At Steelhead, Hunter schedules the flow of products from start to finish throughout the production processes, as well as ensure all vendors deliver products on time to meet the timeline for the final product. Hunter works closely with the Design Engineer and Shop Manager to ensure proper build and function of final products. At his time at Steelhead, Hunter has taken the additional roles of Safety Coordinator, hiring production personal, and quotations for the Sales staff.
Andrew Martinez – Customer Service Manager
Andrew has been an integral part of the Steelhead team for 27 years. He currently works as the Customer Service Manager for domestic and international accounts.
He has built many strong relationships with domestic and global customers, and suppliers. His skills range from exceptional learning and development practices to coaching and mentoring colleagues. Currently the point of contact for all customer service issues, Andrew assists with installs, parts sales and service. Andrew is the point of contact for customers with new equipment, scheduling installs and startups. It is these skills, exceptional customer service and relationship building skills that helps Steelhead with not only customer growth but with customer retention.
